May 18, 200719 yr Hi to Phil and the community,Hopefully, this will be a simple question to answer. Tonight I removed FSX and all of my add-ons to do a fresh install and also to install SP1.I was wondering if is still worth me installing my Cloud9 XClass scenerys?Granted, I have not had time to read of the fixes that SP1 incorporates, due to work commitments. Was just wondering if the Cloud9 stuff would have a detrimental effect on my frame rates post SP1 install? Many thanks to all in advance.Kindest regards,Andrew.
May 18, 200719 yr Cloud9 XClass is landclass enhancements. It should work exactly as it did before - altering and fixing your landclass assignments. SP1 did nothing to adjust for landclass assignments, nor does it break landclass scenery. Landclass enhancements will have the same impact on your SP1 installation as it did with your RTM installation - which is probably little to no framerate impact. :) The performance benefits of SP1 should translate nicely into any landclass adjustments you may have done as well. Go for it! (you can always remove it if for some reason you don't like it!) -Greg
May 18, 200719 yr A small tip to you I discovered during this recent FSX re-install go around. After a clean FSX install and then sp1, when doing all the addon sceneries, put the x class series in first so they will be at a lower level of all your other sceneries. I have France vfr Guadelopue and Martinique, and after I installed them they looked weird. The minute I moved the x class sceneries down to a lower level, they looked perfect. X class still helps the look of FSX, just keep them below all subsequent addon sceneries.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
