March 16, 20224 yr I have IFR plans loaded in and each time pilot2atc has me cut off my flight plan to b line straight to the airport. it also wants me to be at 5000ft 100nm's before the airport. Am I doing something wrong?
March 16, 20224 yr Commercial Member With the current version of P2A, on certain flight plans, vectors might start as early as just before the TOD. This will be changing in the next release. However, when instruction to descend to 5000, it does not mean to "dive and drive" at 5000. It means start a descent at your planned descent rate in order to get to 5000 at the vectored Turn to Base that you can see by pressing the APPR button to the right of the map. Also, if you are told to descend to 5000 ft via a STAR, that means you descend at pilot discretion to reach 5000 ft at at the end of the STAR, abiding by all restrictions in the STAR. So you may end up staying at cruise altitude for some time before reaching your TOD. Dave Edited March 16, 20224 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
