Sharing userpoints (upload to flightsim.to etc.)

Featured Replies

Hello friends,

The airfields in the Central African Republic are not in the MSFS database. However all the strips are of course present and visible on the games Bing-generated map.

  1. I have marked all these airfields accurately with Userpoints in LNM. I used Wikipedia to get the exact lat-long of the airstrips.
  2. I would like to now share these Userpoints with the community by uploading to flightsim.to
  3. How would I go about exporting them and is the process of importing them into LNM easy for anyone who downloads them?

Thanks for any info 🙂

Export the userpoints as CSV. This export format does not drop any information.
I'd also recommend to add a readme.txt which briefly describes the import process. Maybe also link to the related chapters in the manual https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/USERPOINT.html (userpoints general) and menu "Userpoint" -> "Import CSV" to import them.

You can send me a copy and I can also upload them to https://www.littlenavmap.org/downloads/.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the fast reply Alex, I will do that 🙂. Will type it up and then paste the readme on here (you can check to see if its ok!) which I will then post on flightsim.to and in a small .txt file with the download.

When Im doing the Export should I leave these checkboxes blank?:

Select all you want to export in the table (maybe there are a few private or not related userpoints) and then keep the "Export selected only" checked.
Adding a header is optional but does not harm. LNM detects this automatically when importing.

Cannot find the file: "The file you requested has been deleted".
The readme is just common convention. I leave this up to you.

Oh no, I will try to upload again to a different site.

Thanks Alex, will upload to flightsim.to and see how it goes a few months later, if people like it I'll do other small countries also.
