March 29, 20224 yr I recently noted that AAO and my SD profiles are talking with each other. No flight variables are being displayed on the SD. Are there any known incompatibilities between AAO and SU-8? I just updated my AAO version to the latest, but it doesn't seem like it had any affect. I've haven't changed any of Guenseli's SD profiles that I have been using without issue for the last couple of months. Are there some specific things I could check to ensure everything is running properly? AAO seems to be connecting to the sim okay with the green LED lit. The SD profile button are simply missing all the applicable data that I was use to seeing and using. I haven't tested all the planes I normally fly, but everyone I tried within the last couple of weeks has not worked. Others experiencing similar issues?
March 30, 20224 yr Commercial Member There is no issue between AAO and SU8. Please re-check the network configuration of the SD plugin and AAO, using the WebAPI troubleshooting guide. If you changed the port in the past, make sure to do that again after an update of the SD profile. Also, it is always possible that another app is suddenly requesting the same port, and the SD plugin is locked out from accessing AAO. Or your firewall/antivirus decides that it doesn't like it anymore. Then you have to change the port - see the WebAPI troubleshooting guide PDF (this can be downloaded from the axisandohs website, where the SD plugin is too. LORBY-SI
March 30, 20224 yr Author Thanks. Didn't see your reply until this morning. I'll check out the WebAPI section to see if I can get some clues as to what's going on. I was able to find one plane(C152), that seems to be picking up the sim data and displaying it on the SD. So it would seem to me it maybe something else that's awry.
March 30, 20224 yr Commercial Member Check if you still have the lorbysi-content-hooks package in your Community folder. When that is missing, then AAO doesn't have full access to the sim. LORBY-SI
March 31, 20224 yr Author I've not been able to figure this out yet. Everything I check or try makes no difference. The lorbysi-content-hooks folder is in the community folder. It don't think I'm using 9080 port with anything else - that I know of. It seems the AAO is connecting to the sim properly, because the LED is green and the proper name of the aircraft is displayed. I can also 'read' simulator events and variables. I have been using the MSFS2020 Mobile Companion App for months so I doubt that is interfering with anything. (Yes, I know it's redundant to the SD, but I find it's easier to set interact with both). In the past, I would fire up AAO - after the sim is started, select my plane profile in the SD, and boom, they gauges would come to life and display the flight avionic info. It's as if the SD has become disconnected. Now it doesn't display anything. How and why is still a mystery at this point.
