April 13, 20224 yr Ok so I want to explain what I did and (what I expect functionality-wise) and hopefully I can get some clarification on what I'm doing wrong 🙂  Created simbrief plan and imported it as: KJFK/13R DCT SHIPP Y492 SQUAD DCT DARUX L459 DASER MOMOM1 TXKF/30  Upon checking ATIS (and real KJFK D-ATIS), the actual departure runway was 4L. I made that change in the P2A flight plan, used "Force Dep Rwy" and made sure to File:  After step 2 above, I requested clearance from clearance delivery, but received: "...cleared to Tango X-Ray Kilo Foxtrot, fly the DEEZZ5 departure , with the DEEZZ transition , then as filed. Expect departure runway One Three Right.  Climb to Four Thousand feet via the departure. Expect higher clearances Two minutes after departure. Departure on One Three Five Point Niner. Squawk Five Six Six One." ------ So after explaining that. I guess my question is...does having "ATC Assigns SIDs" enabled in ATC options always override a configuration a user makes? From reading the manual it seems as though the SID should only be chosen by ATC when you validate the plan. And if the answer to that question is "yes". Is it possible to configure the options below to allow: Assigns SID based on your imported plan If user changes and refiles plan, ATC respects the change  Edited April 13, 20224 yr by jstnj
April 13, 20224 yr Since you have "ATC Assigns SIDS" checked, ATC is going to assign your SID and give it to you during the IFR Clearance. You would then update your flight plan to match. The manual states, that it may differ from the one you have planned. If you want to use your planned SID, turn off "ATC Assigns SID". Also be aware, if you file a SIDÂ (and have ATC Assigns SID turned off). The SID still may change as ATC will assign a SID aligned to the active runway. So you may be best to leave "Force Pilot Runway Selection" on if you want a specific SID/Runway. Hope that helps. Edited April 13, 20224 yr by skypilotYTS
