April 22, 20224 yr Hi Dave I purchased P2ATC and has been working fine. Certainly the software doesn't allow me to file a file plan although It can be validated. You will see on the screenshot that P2ATC is connected but the connection button remains grey and the icon of the plane is no where to be seen. I have updated AIRAc using Navigraph FMS Data Manager, downloaded your latest version of P2ATC and have updated XUIPC (the latter cannot be a connection issue because I can connect other third party software and plugins using XUIPC). Any help would be appreciated.
April 22, 20224 yr Commercial Member When fully connected, the Connect button will turn green and there will be 3 aqua colored lines in the speech text window, with the last one saying "Grammars Loaded". Since you only got the one line saying Simulator Connected, XPUIPC is probably working. Here are some other things you need to be able to connect: 1. Be sure you are connected to the internet. It must be a reliable connection. 2. If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again. 3. English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language 4. Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows 5. Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB. Press the Save button. 6. Try running the program in Administrator mode by right clicking on the Pilot2ATC.exe file and selecting “Run as Administrator” 7. If you have shortcuts or icons to the program, delete them first, then try running from the exe file as Admin. You can recreate the shortcuts after it starts running again. Dave
April 23, 20224 yr Author Hi Dave, I thank you for your prompt reply. I have tried all of the above. The following message appears.
April 24, 20224 yr Commercial Member That message would indicate that you don’t have the database files installed correctly. If you installed the update, without the full installation, that would cause this. If you installed the full version with Navigraph or NavDataPro data, then: 1. Check that the database files are properly installed in the P2A Data folder. There should be 2 database files: P2ABaseData.mdf and P2ADynamicData.mdf. 2. If they are there, check if there are the corresponding log files: P2ABaseData_log.ldf and P2ADynamicData_log.ldf. Delete these 2 log files and restart P2A to see if that fixes the issue. 3. If they are not there, reinstall the full version of Pilot2ATC, paying close attention to the installation directory so that it is installed to the same directory as before rather than a sub-directory. July 5, 20223 yr Good afternoon! I have the same problem as described above. Did everything you suggested, but the problem didn't go away. Help me please
July 5, 20223 yr Commercial Member If you have that exact same error message, then the only possibility is that you don't have the database files installed. Dave
July 6, 20223 yr Everything is installed. and a database of votes, including English-US and English-UK. Windows is translated into English. navigation base is also the last - 2206. but doesn't work. it is written that there is no English-US Culture puck. Windows 10
July 6, 20223 yr Commercial Member Most likely you are missing he English-US Speech Recognition or your Windows does not have English-US set as the primary language for Speech recognition. On the Windows Settings->Speech page: The English US, must be at the top of the list so it will be the default language. At the top of the Language page, set English-US as the Windows Display Language and it should move it to the top of the list. To install the Speech Recognition: ⦁ Click the English(US) entry and a couple of buttons should show. ⦁ Press the Options Button ⦁ On the resulting screen you should see a button to Install Speech. If it’s there, press it and let it install the Speech Recognizer. Dave
