Nothing from P2ATC after departure.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

First of all I am very new to Pilot2atc which I think is an astonishing piece of software and knocks the Microsoft Flight Simulator one out of the park.

So far I have had a few successful flights with it with P2ATC instructing me from clearance, pushback, taxiing and departure through ascending to my cruise FL, instructing me to change frequencies as and when required and then finally guiding me down to land. Fantastic!

However, on more than one occasion, p2atc has successfully guided me through the first few steps above, to departure. After departing as per p2atc's clearance, I hit autopilot and using constraints (A320nx Fly by wire), I get to my given fl, as instructed by p2atc expecting to hear clearance to a higher level and finally to my cruise level as per the information I was given.

I hear nothing more for the entire flight. I wondered if I needed to change to another frequency so I tried that. P2ATC then told me to change back to the original ground frequency I'd just changed from - then nothing more.

Is this a bug with certain flight plans, or is it something as a newcomer I am missing which is quite possible?

As an example I'm including a flight plan that I experienced this with. I tried this flight two separate occasions with the same result (no more instructions after departure). Manchester (egcc) to Bergen (enbr).

I generated it using Simbrief and then loaded it into Navigraph charts. I then used P2ATC to import the plan from Navigraph, checked it and all seemed good.

EGCC/05L POL4S POL UP17 TIPTA UM82 ROBEM DCT KLONN Z108 ALUVA ALUV2P ENBR/RIVIP.I35-W

Then I finally verified the plan in P2ATC and Filed it successfully.

Anyone else experienced this? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Dave. As far as I'm aware I'm using the latest version v. 2.6.2.3_x64_R2

I'll try the latest public beta and report back.

Ok I've updated to the latest public beta v.2.6.3.0_x64_Public Beta2p.

Tried the same flight again from scratch and now I only get as far as requesting departure from my assigned runway. Nothing. I took off anyway and as before, nothing further from P2ATC.

Must be something causing an error.

Please email the log file to me at [email protected].

P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name.
Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.
A new one is created each time you start Pilot2ATC, and is closed when you shut it down. So if you take the most recent one after you have the error and after you shut down P2A, you should have the correct one.
