Qantas has announced plans to buy Alliance Aviation, three years after acquiring a 19.9% stake in the carrier.

The remaining 80% stake in Alliance would be acquired through a scheme of agreements, in which Alliance shareholders will receive Qantas shares valued at $ 4.75 for each share held in the Alliance.
