I installed this modification yesterday, and during a test flight at night, everything worked perfectly, no flickering whatsoever while using DLSS. Today, however, the flickering appeared, but only during daylight hours; it did not occur at night. After extensive testing, I discovered that, in my case, the issue was caused by REX Atmos. I found that, with my specific configuration, the problem stemmed from the "Overall Light" setting in Atmos, which was set to 0. Once I changed this value back to the default (16), the flickering stopped.

We know that MSFS2024's graphics settings are heavily dependent on your available hardware ( CPU, SSD M.2, Gb and MHz RAM, memory GPU). To get an idea of the maximum graphics settings your hardware can support in MSFS2024, go to Settings > Advanced Options, enable Developer Mode, and then in menu at the top in Debug Display enable Display FPS. At the bottom of the window that appears, you can see the your RAM and GPU memory, as well as current usage during flight. If the loaded data , particularly in complex airport environments, approaches or exceeds your GPU's maximum available memory (indicated by the GPUMem value turning red), you may encounter the issues you described, such as prompts to lower your graphics settings. Generally, if this value remains white or yellow, you shouldn't experience stuttering. Keep in mind that, in addition to lowering graphics values like Volumetric Clouds and Texture Resolution, it is also important to adjust other parameters in the Graphics menu, specifically NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, as DLSS can consume a significant amount of GPU memory. Another important setting is TLOD (Terrain Level of Detail). Fortunately, there is an excellent, well-known tool called the MSFS Auto FPS App by Reset XPDR. This app is particularly helpful for non-high-end PCs, as it automatically manages this parameter by adjusting texture loading, and consequently memory usage during flight.

Just a reminder that in MSFS2024, you can use this procedure to back up your control configuration as an .xml file and save it wherever you like: 1. Launch the simulator and go to Settings -> Controls. 2. Select the Keyboard (or any other peripheral). 3. Click the gear icon next to the custom profile name. 4. Select Export to save a clean .xml file directly to a folder of your choice (e.g., your Desktop), ready to be kept as a backup or shared. Here is the procedure for importing the saved .xml file into MSFS2024 if needed: 1. Launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and go to Settings → Controls. 2. Select the Keyboard from the list of peripherals on the left. 3. Navigate to the correct category at the bottom (e.g., General Controls or Airplane Controls). 4. Create an empty/duplicate profile (if necessary): The import option often requires an active, editable profile to already exist. If you only see the "Default" profile (which cannot be overwritten), click the gear icon next to the current profile name and select Duplicate to create an editable copy. 5. Click the gear icon next to the profile again and select Import. 6. A Windows dialog box will open: browse your folders, select the configuration .xml file you wish to load, and click Open. 7. The simulator will load the controls, and you will see the new imported profile name appear in the game. Remember to save before exiting.

Lufthansa’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (registration D-ABPQ) was delivered to the airline on January 16, 2026, and entered service on February 13, flying in the Allegris cabin configuration.

A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9, registration D-ABPQ performing flight LH-450 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Los Angeles, CA (USA), was preparing for boarding of passengers at the gate, when all gear doors opened and the nose gear retracted. The aircraft fell onto its nose. A number of crew on board received injuries.

After installing SU5, I encountered no problems on the first flight, but on the second flight, frequent stutters began at cruising altitude, something I'd never experienced before, followed by a CTD. I decided to reinstall MSFS2024 and, after completing the same flights that had caused the stutters and CTD, I flew about a dozen more flights and haven't encountered any more problems.

I thought I was the only one having these problems, which started on January 28th. But today something strange happened, and I don't know if it's a coincidence, Windows 11 updates, or if the server has started working again. I remembered that on January 27th, I installed the Windows 11 KB5078127 update, but I only started MSFS 2024 on January 28th, and I couldn't play because the loading screen remained at 0%, and I received error 002-902 twice, after several minutes. Yesterday, even after several minutes of waiting, 24 started up, and I was able to fly normally. Today, the loading was still at 0% again, and this is where what I called a coincidence happened. Either the W11 updates had something to do with it, or the server started working again. After installing the W11 KB5074105 preview update, MSFS 2024 started up normally. Mine started at 9-10%, and I tried starting it 5 times without any problems, within the usual loading time.

For me, the download and installation of ver. 8.1.2025.1210 happened after starting REX Atmos Core, while on Orbx where I purchased it, it is not yet present with Orbx Central.
