Lower case y with hyphens font error?

This is very weird - it's not happening on my end.

But there are a few people, where this does seem to happen.

Can everyone who has this issue please post:

- Operating system

- Language settings

- Does it happen when you load up a powered up 737 using the World Map and go to the PERF INIT page?

- Anything else you might think is relevant - because I'm baffled. That portion of the code hasn't been touched in many years and it never was an issue!

Hi Mark,

You asked me to respond here. My O/S build is Win 10 Pro Vers 21H2 Build 19044.1706 Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0

I have both English (United Kingdom) and English (United States) loaded with Region set United Kingdom.

I have both accented y shown in place of both square boxes and the degree symbols.

Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support is checked (Under administrative language settings, Change System Locale)

I am unable to copy images to here so will send via email

Ok, I just tried the UTF-8 setting and it didn't change anything for me (still working).

Can you guys try and uncheck that setting and reboot?

Also, here is a (test) version of aviaServer:

http://www.aviaworx.com/files/not_released/aviaserver_11-may-22-204810.zip

It will pop up a message box on launch with (hopefully) the box character. Can you please post a screenshot of what you see?

Also, please open the 737 CDU (no need to fire up MSFS). What do you see?

Hi, I have switched UTF8 back on (as required by other apps) and on running the test it fills the CDU with square boxes.

Unfortunately I am unable to post screen shot as requested

all good now with the update.

Thank You Mark.

Jean.
