GTN750/X-Plane 1000 turns wrong direction on IFR departure

Recommended Posts

I've been using the GTN750 and X-Plane C172_G1000 to fly the IFR magazine "Night Fright" sim challenge.  This begins with the BUELT4.FLW departure from runway 30 at KSMX.  This departure requires a right turn to heading 190, a direction change of 250 degrees.  The GTN preview of the flight plan shows the correct right turn, however when coupled to the autopilot (I'm using RealSimGear GFC500), the turn goes the short direction to the left.  Really bad choice in real life!  I'm guessing this is some issue with the autopilot rather than the GTN, but don't know how to fix it.

Hi,

I'm sorry for the unusual delay answering your question.

I'd suggest you review what I've just posted here:
