FYI, the Fenix Airbus is "freezing' the tug

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

I successfully used the Fenix while testing PBE.

I just had to start the pushback in the EFB without triggering the arrows and then PBE could take over control (starting the Fenix Pushback will just shake the plane an inch, but it will hold position).
I only started the Fenix pushback inside the EFB after I called in the tug via PBE. It also worked while the PBE tug wasn't yet fully connected.

For the rudder controls they actually don't work as Fenix seems to be overwriting the inputs and you have to steer via the EFB.

I've heard that, too.  But Fenix really shouldn't be "freezing" the tug via code.  We hope they change that in an update.

What about "Distance Mode" in PBE?  Did that work okay in the Fenix for you?

Most people use Distance Mode now since it will put the tug on the taxiway line.

Yeah used distance mode successfully too, connected tag from PBE, started pushback ... then just had to click start on their EFB and the rest worked as normal.

Yup, the solution is to just press "Start" in their EFB then do the normal Pushback Express procedure.

Key thing is to press "start" first.

I can't make PE work with the Fenix. Keep getting the message "set the parking brake please!" (it's set). I tried starting pushback via Fenix EFB, to no avail. No sure what I'm doing wrong...
