May 26, 20224 yr Hi Little maps is absolutely amazing and thank you for the time and effort that has gone into it.... However I have a small request that would make it more usable for people like myself with the following setup.... I am running a seperate screen for the heliops program and littlenav map alongside my Main screen for fs2020. The problem I have that I cannot make the width of the little nav window come in enough to fit my screen which is a wide screen in portrait mode.... the idea is that I can stack windowed programs on it whilst still having fullscreen simming on the main monitor. All other windowed programs that I have can do it just this restriction on littlmaps, which makes it unworkable for this setup... Could it not be changed to allow for more movement, shrinkage please? Many thanks

You can close dock windows like the search or undock them from the main window and open them only when needed. You can also stack docks by dropping one on another. Or remove search options by clicking on the "three-line-menu" on the top right of the search window. All this helps to make the window smaller. See here for more information about dock windows and here about the full screen mode. Once you have a working layout you can save it in menu "Window" -> "Save window layout as" as a backup. May 28, 20224 yr Author Thanks Alex I have tried all the options but it will not width shrink small enough to fit the screen size when the screen is in portrate mode..... I do not understand why it can be shrunk fully verically but not horizontally... As I said I can shrink every other app / screen to fit and windows remembers where they were and their size. Surely it is only a single line change in the program.... Barry
May 28, 20224 yr Hi Barry, I see. For some reason (hidden in the Qt library I'm using for display) the window cannot be resized below around 1000 pixels. Good thing is that I already found a workaround for this limitation for the next update. Yes, the workaround is a single line change. 🙃 Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
June 9, 20223 yr Hi @albar965, As always, thank you first and foremost for your work on LNM, it's such a great tool for flight planning. Would you consider adding an option to undock the (vertical layout) Fuel Report window from the (horizontal layout) Flight Plan tab? I would love to have Fuel off to the side in my layout, separate from the plan, I appreciate they are connected but you give us so much freedom to choose our own layout I thought I would ask. Thank you, Toby Ryzen 5800X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 4090, Windows 11
June 9, 20223 yr Doable. I could move the two fuel planning tabs into a separate dock window and stack this with the flight planning dock. This would allow to undock the two fuel tabs. The problem is that this change has the potential to mess up the layout of many users since it cannot be restored reliably from a previous version. I took note of this idea and have to see what can be done. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
June 9, 20223 yr Thank you Alex @albar965 I really appreciate you considering this. It would be a huge help while I train my fuel management skills and LNM learns my aircraft.. Would it be possible to simply unlock the Fuel tabs so that they can be docked/undocked with anything else? thereby not ruining anyone's set-up?
