  1. Thanks, Kernel. While the tool has evolved quickly, I have zero desire to turn it into payware. I built this over the last week as a personal proof-of-concept. I'm not a developer by trade, so I'm just proud of being able to get it fully functional this fast. I built this because it's exactly what I wanted for my own simming: 'one-click' routing between high-quality airports, instant SimBrief integration, and a quick scenario to read while MSFS loads. It’s here to help virtual pilots who want immersion but don't have an hour to burn on pre-flight planning. I used to love doing that before I had children but these days I get tired earlier and have less time for my hobby! I appreciate the message. Even if it's not your usual thing, give it a spin when you have a moment, the workflow might surprise you!
  2. The Warbirds Update & native .PLN export! What’s new: Warbird Fleet: I’ve integrated Flying Iron’s Bf 109G-6, P-38 Lightning, F6F-5 Hellcat, and Spitfire L.F Mk IXc. Native MSFS .PLN export: No SimBrief subscription? Flying a Warbird or Helicopter? You can now instantly download a .pln file to load directly into the MSFS EFB. Dynamic VFR/IFR routing: Flights are now automatically dispatched as VFR or IFR depending on the generated cruise altitude. New Mission types: Added specific Warbird/GA job tickets, including Airshow Displays, Memorial Flypasts, Heritage Relocations, and Vintage Air Races. Helicopter Ops: Rotary-wing operations are fully supported, including helipad-to-helipad dispatch and local sightseeing/patrol missions. Logic fixes: Multiple refinements to MTOW, terrain safety floors, and database routing to ensure the tool just works. Jump in, pick your airframe, click generate, and go fly! Dynamic Global Flight Dispatcher (for MSFS 2024)
  3. Hi Steve, - The FlightFX Cessna 750 Citation X is already in the database - I have added the iFly 737 Max 8 and both versions of the ATR. - I have added both versions of the updated DC6 A/B airframes. - There are now 66 aircraft in the database. - I have updated the cruise altitude logic, allowing you to achieve higher cruise altitudes in business jets and jets during longer flights. This tool is now fully functional and will be updated as and when I have time with new aircraft / airports. All of the database work is manual and I really need to focus on finding a new job. If you feel that this tool is useful, please show your appreciation via the buymeacoffee link. Thank you and fly safe. ✈️ v7.6 online Aircraft included - click to expand
  4. Thank you, this functionality is already built in! Runway length and aircraft type are always matched. You should never be dispatched from a runway that you cannot take off from.
  5. Based on a suggestion from Ricardo41, I have implemented a Flight Time Slider into the planning interface. You can now select between 60, 90, or 120 minutes to act as a rough duration guide for the dispatcher when generating your fixed-wing routes (helicopter operations will remain focused on a 20-minute mission profile). This should make it much easier to fit a high-fidelity flight into whatever real-world time slot you have available. Thanks to Ricardo41 for the feedback, and happy flying!
  6. The Global Flight Dispatcher tool has been updated! Airport Database Expansion The airport database has been decoupled from the main file for easier management and now includes: Full ORBX MSFS 2024 airport database (210 airports) Full Contrail MSFS 2024 airport database (330 airports) All Asobo Hand-Crafted airports (133 airports) 93 additional hand-picked airports Enhanced Dispatch & Performance Logic Custom Terrain Avoidance: Smart reworked logic built into the planning phase. MTOW Logic: Automated payload checks to ensure you never exceed maximum takeoff weight. Airframe-Specific Missions: Flight generation tailored to your specific aircraft type (GA, Biz Jet, Turboprop, Passenger, Cargo, or Helicopter). Expanded Fleet & Mission Variety The tool now supports 60 aircraft. You can search for aircraft by typing their name or use the drop down menu: Mission type updates: 32 General Missions for all airframes 10 Helicopter exclusive missions 7 Passenger Jet exclusive missions 6 Business Jet exclusive missions 6 GA exclusive missions 5 Turboprop exclusive missions UI updates: Light / Dark mode added The latest version is live and available now on GitHub. Happy flying! PS I did not look for a job today, that will have to wait. Time flies when I'm working on this tool, which must be a good thing right?!
  7. @Fielder I hope that the new Light mode / Dark mode toggle in the Settings is what you were looking for? 🤗
  8. I have cleaned and updated the airport database this morning to ensure MSFS 2024 compatibility. There are now over 700 airports for the dispatcher to choose from and 41 aircraft. Hand-Crafted: 133 airports ORBX: 210 airports Contrail: 339 airports Other: 93 airports (Freeware and other stores)
  9. I love your story, thank you for sharing and for your kind words.
  10. If you want to download the html you can, just right click the link and 'save as' but I recommend using the tool via the link in your web browser to ensure that you always have access the the most up-to-date database of aircraft and airports. If you choose to add your own airports or aircraft, then you can create a backup of your custom database, before you clear your browser cache, if you do that sort of thing.
  11. Correct, he taught me about 'unification' and got me started with flight simming when I knew nothing. And the folks at my VA, Andras Meridian have always been incredibly supportive and helpful towards me and our hobby too. Good luck to you on your search Tony.
  12. Hi everyone, Like many of you, I often find myself sitting at the MSFS 2024 main menu with limited time, wondering where to fly next. I wanted a quick, lightweight way to choose a flight that guarantees a realistic block time between two high-quality, high-fidelity destinations without the guesswork. I recently lost my job, due to redundancies in the video game industry, and have some spare time on my hands, so I built a free, browser-based utility called the Dynamic Global Flight Dispatcher. It requires no installation, runs entirely online, and is 100% free. This is my way to give something back to the flight-sim community that has supported my hobby for the last twenty years. What it does: • Automatically matches your aircraft class to generate realistic 40–60 minute flight time fixed-wing flights (or 20-minute helicopter trips). • The core database is built around high-quality destinations, featuring the full Contrail and ORBX MSFS 2024 catalogues, Asobo hand-crafted airports, and a curated list of freeware sceneries. • The core database includes 41 high quality aircraft that you can use immediately, including the Citation Sovereign+. • Generates an airframe-specific job ticket and passenger/cargo manifest that automatically scales to stay safely under MTOW. • Automatically calculates cruise altitudes, incorporating a global mountain range safety matrix (Alps, Rockies, Andes, etc.) so you don't get dispatched into a granite wall. • One-Click SimBrief Dispatch: Fixed-wing flights generate a direct link to pre-fill your flight data straight into SimBrief. • Custom Callsigns are saved and populated automatically into the SimBrief dispatch for use with ATC add-ons like FSHud, BATC and SayIntentions. Fully Customisable (Bring Your Own Scenery) Because everyone's scenery library is unique, the database is completely expandable by you. If you have a favourite freeware or payware airport that isn't in the master database yet, you can add it directly via the Settings panel. It saves instantly to your browser's local storage, and you can export your custom additions as a .json backup file. It also supports adding your own custom airframes if your preferred aircraft is not in the default database. Where to get it: The project is open-source and hosted on GitHub. You can view the code or download the file to run locally here: 👉 https://manicminer00.github.io/global-flight-dispatcher/ I created this purely for my own enjoyment to take the friction out of flight planning, and I wanted to share it back with the community. If you give it a try, I’d love to hear your feedback or ideas for future utility features. Clear skies, Toby This is dedicated to Michael Greenblatt and the good folks at Andras Meridian.
  13. For anyone else looking for the Script code for the Honeycomb Throttle far right axis lever using the Flight Sim Factory E-Jet detent insert, here you go. Assign the axis to 'Select Event' and choose the script. I saved this Script as 'FlapsScriptRange'. (L:Fenix-FlapsScriptRange)·s0· l0·0·>·l0·5·<·and·if{·1·(>K:FLAPS_UP)·} l0·7·>·l0·15·<·and·if{·1·(>K:FLAPS_1)·} l0·20·>·l0·25·<·and·if{·1·(>K:FLAPS_2)·} l0·30·>·l0·35·<·and·if{·1·(>K:FLAPS_3)·} l0·40·>·l0·45·<·and·if{·1·(>K:FLAPS_DOWN)·}
  14. Thank you for your help.
  15. In the Fenix A320, the assignment, "Flap Handle" does not work, at least I have not got it to work. I need to use "Axis_Flaps_Set" for it to move the lever in the sim. All I am trying to do is set an axis lever on the Honeycomb with custom detents to match the position of the flap lever in the sim. How can I do that?
  16. Lorby, I am now trying to set up an axis for flaps with detents in the Fenix A320. I have a custom plastic insert from Flight Sim Factory for the Honeycomb yoke with detent markings. I would like to set each detent for the Flaps Axis. The detents are in custom positions and I do not need the whole range of the axis either. While trying to set up the axis in AAO, I have just spotted what you thought was '163 flap detents' in my earlier message, it's actually an entry for the value 16384. The only way I can find to edit this value is by right-clicing on the grey value box in the AAO axis assignment. (2 grey boxes at the bottom of each axis with -16384/16384). Q. How do I set up an axis with custom detent positions if I don't want to use the whole axis range on the Honeycomb Throttle? Thank you
  17. Great idea, thank you for showing me how to do this. It works well.
  18. Would you mind showing me a screenshot of how you entered the code in Stream Deck, or did you test directly in AAO?
  19. I'll give that a try, thank you. Below is a screenshot of part of my conversation with the developer from Black Square, that hopefully helps explain this in more detail.
  20. I don't understand what you mean by "others"? If I enter this script in the "Read" field, it should test which mode is active and return either a 0 or 1, This is the script: Can you see why it wouldn't work?
  21. In the Black Square Starship, there are 4 vertical speed modes: IAS, IASP, DES and V/S. The developer kindly shared their RPN code used on the buttons in the aircraft. I have V/S working but not IAS (IASP) and DES. I am making a Stream Deck profile for the Starship and have created working dials for Airspeed and V/S but cannot figure out how to read the 'situation' to turn a button on or off. Using AUTOPILOT FLIGHT LEVEL CHANGE, bool (for example), turns on both buttons as there is no 'check' as per script above. I normally read the SimVars such as A:AUTOPILOT VERTICAL HOLD, Bool to get a response but this doesn't work in the Starship for IAS and DES mode. I have tried adding the code above as an S: Script to the entry field but it doesn't work and I cannot figure out why and kindly ask for your help. Finally, when rotating the dials, sometimes the numbers changes (they always change in the aircraft) but they often 'stick' on the Stream Deck and don't update, any idea why? Example:
  22. I found out that the Throttle Cut assignment, assigned to Button 24 will set the Throttle to GND FINE (0.0), so that's one thing solved.
