Software Update Auto Start How to Turn it off

Recommended Posts

How do I turn off the annoying and constant Software Update dialog for RealityXP Garmin GTN (XP) please? Where is it hidden?

Hi,

The update dialog shows because you're not running the latest available.

We always recommend to download and install the latest in order to benefit from enhancement and new features in our products. You can select to opt-in or opt-out the automatic update notification, in selecting the equivalently named option during installation. In order to change this, just run the installer again and un-select the option.

Thank you. I am no longer using XP11 or RealityXP so I want to stop all update notifications. I have uninstalled to get rid of this annoyance. It would be easier if the autostart is placed in the standard directory and not hidden.

It is not hidden either, it is just conveniently configured in using the RXP software installer. Otherwise, you can always manually edit because they are just standard Windows tasks!
