I'm planning to use the stock X-Plane instruments so there's no reason not to use the G1000...that will make it a pretty clean instrument panel.

I think I would just use the PFD and not the MFD - I think I've seen some real-world examples of that setup, definitely lighter with one rather than two displays.

I would want to integrate the AviTab flight tablet, too.
