Sudden freezes a stutters

Hello all

        I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with a problem.      I took 3 1/2 months off from the Prepare3d sim and when i turned it on today all of a sudden with default aircraft and scenery i am getting complete freezes and massive stutters

 

the only change is the lack of play for 3 1/2 months

Start by clearing your shader cache.

thanks for your reply,     how do i find and clean the shader cache?

Shader cache is at c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Shaders -- just delete the folder contents.
