VNKT approach transitions missing

Featured Replies

Hello,

LNmap v 2.6.19

VNKT RNAV RNP Rwy20 (AR) some approach transitions missing?

For example I looked at PMDG procedures Navigraph cycle 2206.

Navigraph shows several approach transitions but LNM only has one when I created a flight plan (MSFS)..

Reload the scenery library database. This was fixed with the last update 2.6.19.

RNAV 20 has four transitions here based on Navigraph (not MSFS) data.

Also consider this:

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Airports and Navdata

  • If you use the Navigraph update for MSFS: Update the Little Navmap database with the FMS Data Manager as well to keep the program in sync with the MSFS scenery library. Use the scenery mode Use Navigraph for Navaids and Procedures in the menu Scenery Library to get access to all procedures in Little Navmap. This is the default.

Also check the selection in menu Scenery Library -> Airspace Libraries. Select Navigraph and uncheck Simulator there.

  • If you do not use the Navigraph update for MSFS: Use the scenery mode Do not use Navigraph Database in the menu Scenery Library to avoid issues with missing or changed navaids.

The selection in menu Scenery Library -> Airspace Libraries should have Simulator checked. Uncheck Navigraph there.

See Navigation Databases and FSX, Prepar3D and MSFS Airspaces for more background information on these settings.

See appendix Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for information about MSFS limitations and issues.

Hi Alex,

I had run the MSFS Scenery Reload (load scenery library) from inside LNM (top menu) and tested before doing this post / topic.

But I had not done all the steps you mentioned in  "Also consider this:".

Never previously done that.

I will check the additional information you quoted and test again.

Alex,

I had not done this step: Also check the selection in menu Scenery Library -> Airspace Libraries. Select Navigraph and uncheck Simulator there.

I had both selected.

Rechecked with Navigraph Center selected .

Still only have one approach transition (screenshot).

Edit:

Is there any advantage to using LNM + Navigraph rather than the default MSFS Navdata (NAVBLUE) + LNM?

I am just thinking I would rather use default NAVBLUE to keep everything “in-sync” and avoid the possible configuration problems.

Alex,

I started MSFS, FBW A320 for a quick look to see what comes up for RNAV transitions at VNKT rwy 20.

All looks ok (screenshot).

Only LNM is missing them as far as I can tell.

Just to be sure (it already happened): The procedure table is a so-called tree-style display. You have to click on the ">" to open the transition and leg display.
Then you can select a transition to use by right-clicking on it.

Not sure about the Navblue data. I think Navigraph has more coverage and more procedure information. Especially since a lot of procedure information cannot be coded in MSFS BGL files and is also not documented.

Here is MSFS data without Navigraph (note "MSFS / (N)" in title bar) using only Navblue data:

And this is MSFS airports and Navigraph Cycle 2206 not using Navblue:

Alex,

Thanks for your additional information and screenshots.

About an hour ago I went back to MSFS format (NAVBLUE).
I selected “expand all” in LNM procedures and then seen the STAR Transitions (screenshot).

Previously with the Navigraph format I was not clicking on the “>“ as you mentioned. I was clicking on the Approach Procedure Name.

I will now go back to the Navigraph format for MSFS and then select Navigraph in LNM Menu and follow your additional current information for a new test.

Alex,

Thanks again.

I selected Navigraph data (Navigraph Center) for MSFS.

Selected Navigraph in LNM scenery library and airspace.

Selecting the “+” here or was it ">" (as you previously mentioned) in LNM worked for getting Approach Transitions (screenshot).
