July 13, 20223 yr I am wondering why most if not all flight plans I download from various web sites cause LNM to display "no valid start position" when I load them? Its no great problem as I then find the start location, right click and select set as departure but just wondering why this happens. July 13, 20223 yr What format do you download? Do you have an example? This can normally happen if a plan was created using another add-on airport or another simulator than you're using. Parking position names do not match between different add-ons or simulators. You have to set a departure parking manually after loading or LNM automatically assigns a runway. July 14, 20223 yr Author I downloaded all my flight plans from flightsim.TO I now see what I did. I opened a .PLN file (the download is named "theGhan2_FqnRz" which contains a number of flight plans both .pln and .lnmpln). When I opened the .lnmpln file there is no error but when I open the .pln file there is. I had placed all the downloaded .pln files into the MSFS2020 folder which contains flight plans. I guess I should have been only opening files created by littlenavmap. Silly me. July 14, 20223 yr This can always happen with other or even with your own older plans. Parking spots do not match or even navaids change. Nothing to worry. You can hide the dialog with "do not show again" and always select the departure position from the LNM map. This matches you simulator airport add-ons. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
July 15, 20223 yr Author Thanks Alex. If it happens again I will select the departure airport and select 'set as departure' and save (also a start parking ramp too if I require it).
