July 29, 20223 yr Hello all, I've only got 40 years in IT and as of yet have not found a more frustrating piece of software than AAO and streamdeck. I have followed the documentation and trobleshooting guide and have not gotten AAo and Streamdeck to synch up so that The fenix can be controlled by Streamdeck. I am using the Fenix streamdeck information from Flightsim.to. It worked when I first added streamdeck but no joy now. XTouch connects with no problems yet no luck with streamdeck. I'm running Win 11 if that makes a difference I have changed my webAPI to 7070 per the troubleshooting doc since the stock is used by another driver. I have opened a range of ports 6500-7500 in the firewall .Would it be possible for someone to post a foolproof instruction to get AAO and Streamdeck working together.? A complete reinstall is no problem. It looks like a webapi problem to me, but i can't find it Thanks, I must be an word not allowed Parker Freeman - KTPAi7 [email protected], Asus Maximus X, Nvidia 1080TI, Win 10 , Saitek X65

AAO is running a web server. The AAO StreamDeck plugin is a piece of Javascript running in the Elgato QuickTime sandbox (=like a web page in a browser), it sends XmlHttpRequests to the AAO server and receives the response. That is all there is to it. There is no "link" and no "connection", just web requests sent by the plugin to AAO, which it receives and replies to. The XTouch is a completely different tech, they are not related at all. As you know, a web client has to send data to the same IP configuration (address and port) that the server is listening on, so both must be configured exactly the same. And as you also know, your PC is throwing all kinds of stones on that path to prevent it from working - which in other terms is called "Network Security". Local network security is for you to figure out, nothing anyone can do to help. And that would be the frustrating part, no doubt. As for OS - the development system where all this is coming from is also Win11. Shut down the Elgato software - don't just close the window, right click the symbol in the system tray and select "Shut down StreamDeck", should be the last item on the list Start AAO "As Administrator" Go to "Tools -> Port Settings For Web" Dial in "6080" as the "WebAPI Port" (unless you know that 6080 is also blocked, then use 7070 or whatever), leave the other one at 8080 "Apply" Go to "Tools -> Port settings for AAO addons" Set a checkmark at all the items listed here, most importantly the "StreamDeck Plugin" If you can't select it, double check that the Elgato software has been shut down properly. Press "Set port" -> Make sure that all items show your selected port. "Apply" Activate the WebAPI: "Tools-> Enable WebAPI on port xxxx" Shut down AAO Start the simulator, load a plane. When you are sitting in the cockpit, start AAO "As Administrator" Start the Elgato StreamDeck Software Pull the AAO Action "Reset Connection" on an empty slot of the StreamDeck If the AAo WebAPI can be reached, the button LED will turn green and you are good to go. Optional: at bullet point 8. - use "Set local IP" if "localhost" doesn't work. If the Connection is working, and you are getting feedback, but nothing happens in the sim when you press a button on the profile - read the installation instructions of that profile again. Did you import all scripts and templates that came with it? Has it been made for the same version of aircraft that you have? Also check that the AAO communications module is present and active in your Community folder, it is called "lorbysi-content-hooks" Edited July 29, 20223 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
