Red Center

The route begins at Ayers Rock (Connellan) (YAYE) with a dawn departure to catch the sunrise light on Uluru.  We will finish 461nm later at Alice Springs (YBAS).  In between we will fly a circuitous route landing or performing touch and go’s at 11 remote small strips.

Aircraft

The route is 461nm with 11 airports enroute so we will need to move along smartly.  An aircraft capable of 250knts cruise and capable of landing on unimproved airstrips is desirable.   The King Air or TBM will work or any warbird.   I will be flying the Flying Iron P-38L in Geronimo II livery.

Excellent trip. Just lost one Merlin early on but managed to get a replacement flown in. (I know people) and the rest of the flight was completed with further stress.
