Salty B747 FMC

Featured Replies

This most excellent work (Axis and Ohs), works magnificently, providing the Asobo B747 FMC to a tablet browser for perfect two way communications/edits. It's the only soft remote FMC I've found and works 100%. My issue is that I use the Salty Mod. Is there anyone that can give advice on getting it to work with the Salty Mod? The Mod is a really good step forward from the Asobo stock 747, and once you've used it you can't go back. I'm pretty sure there are a heap of people thinking the same thing?

I was overthinking this, as it was in fact simple. Copying the communications code (clearly comment marked under 'this.updateAutopilot() from the Lorby 'B747_8_FMC_mainDisplay' file, into the same file in the Community Salty folder - worked immediately. I did have a conflict on 9080 so changed that, and also needed to open the FW port specifically (not just allow the app). All works with Salty 747 100%. Now I move to purchase, as I am most impressed with the work ;-).

I've taken a look at it. Salty is using a different font and slightly different CSS (you can see that in the font colors). It is probably better to put it into an external package, so this can be fixed (I just did). I'll send you a link.

I realize this an old topic but could some context be provided? I am also looking to get the Salty FMC on a tablet and would be interested in what was done here. Thanks!

Where did you get stuck in the process?

Just curious if this is still compatible with the latest asobo and salty updates?

The Salty WebFMC has been updated to AAO 3.2 specs.

And there are new separate versions for AAU2 of the other FMCs if you are in the MSFS beta (this doesn't affect Salty though, it has its own logic)

Salty FMC works great. Thanks.

btw. the new versions of the WebFMCs should all have keyboard support. I think that I forgot to add that to the readme.
