August 3, 20223 yr I wanted to duplicate the diplomatic flight out of Taiwan today with the PMDG 737. Just wanted to share my findings on what I think is very close to their actual flight plan in case someone would like fly the route themselves. The flight is from Songshan airport in Taiwan to Osan AFB in South Korea. Interesting flight path by the Speaker's plane traveling into and out of Taiwan as the flight is avoiding certain airspace for obvious reasons. The plane left this morning (ET), which was 6:00PM Taiwan time, to go to South Korea. Observing the flight path on flightaware (SPAR19), this is the flight plan I came up with to duplicate the flight this afternoon [RCSS KUDOS R595 LILRA Y26 YURIX Y27 RUSAR A586 TOSAN KAMIT Y722 OLMEN Z52 POSAN RKSO]. I believe it landed on ILS 27R. Enjoy. Now back to flight prep. 🙂
August 3, 20223 yr Awesome! You would be surprised that we use the same mode of planning/dispatching as everyone else. The only difference is the dip clearance nuisance. You have to be sure that your planned/filed route does not take you over any airspace that you do not have dips for. When checking the flight plan or accepting ATC clearances, you make sure it's all cleared airspace. A few times, I've been given routing that veered into non cleared airspace and could not accept it. I have been held at the border as well lol. This usually happens when the jet breaks and you swap to another tail. It means that someone forgot to change the tail in the dip. The tell-tale sign is when ATC starts asking about your side number. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
August 3, 20223 yr Author Flight went great. Landed ILS 27R. According to Flightaware, the actual flight duration was 02:27. My flight time in FS2020 was 02:34. Not bad.

If you want to see a REALLY interesting flight plan, take a look at SPAR19's previous flight (its flight into Taipei): https://flightaware.com/live/flight/SPAR19/history/20220802/0805Z/WMSA/RCSS They started around Singapore or Alor Star area and went way, way east to the Phillipines before turning north. I assume this avoided certain airspaces, like the Spratly Islands area. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

I wound up just flying from Manila to Songshan to fly the last part of it. I was glad that the route of this flight to South Korea fit nicely into established airways, albeit in an odd path.
