August 14, 20223 yr "Aircraft type "King Air" in simulator is not equal to type "B350" used in performance file." I've had this error since using Little Nav Map but never really bothered to figure out how to fix it till today. Where are the performance files at, and why do they not match? MSFS.
August 15, 20223 yr The add-on aircraft reports the wrong ICAO type designator "King Air". You can see here how to fix this in the aircraft: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/AIRCRAFTPERFEDIT.html#aircraft-type I think the same solution for FSX still applies for MSFS. Did not try it yet. Or you can change the performance file in LNM and set the field "Aircraft type" to "King Air". Actually the message is more a warning that you're using the wrong aircraft. October 18, 20223 yr Revisiting this topic, I fly the Bae146 and I also get the message Aircraft type "Avroliner" in simulator is not equal to type B463 used in performance file. I have searched in every aircraft.cfg and other files but I cant find a reference to the text "Avroliner". Where does LNM get the data for the aircraft type? I have looked in the community folder and the official folder but can't find the text Avroliner anywhere. I have also tried to change the LNM performance file to Avroliner but I then get an error stating it is not a valid ICAO. Very minor problem but I would like to remove this bold red error every time I fly. Thanks

Through SimConnect and this takes it from the aircraft.cfg file, key "atc_model" under the section "[GENERAL]". This at least for FSX and P3D where add-on developers used ICAO designators like "C172". MSFS should be similar. The is also a icao_type_designator but this is not exposed on SimConnect. 17 hours ago, lancealotg said: I have also tried to change the LNM performance file to Avroliner but I then get an error stating it is not a valid ICAO. This is a warning. You can still save and use the file. I tried to use this ICAO aircraft type to remind the users that the aircraft performance file does not match the flown aircraft. Unfortunately, a lot of aircraft add-on developers do not enter the right ICAO type designator but rather some fantasy names. I'll remove the warning about the wrong designator in the fuel report.🤷♂️ Then simply change the aircraft performance file to match the wrong value from the simulator.
