August 18, 20223 yr I have made numerous flight plans with LNM on my trip around the world with no problems. Now all of a sudden the Elevation Profile Window opens but does not show the profile. I just flew up the Alaskan Aleutian chain, which has many mountains and they no longer show up. I tried opening and closing the elevation window and closing and opening the program. Tried different departures and destinations directly over mountains. Nothing. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. August 19, 20223 yr Sorry, but I can only guess until I have more information. Can you post a screenshot including all of LNM and the window title bar showing the situation? How to post a screenshot Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 19, 20223 yr Author An example is one leg of my trip. PACD Cold Bay to PAAL Port Moller, Alaska. No elevation data shown and shows 1000 ft. as safe altitude even though there are high mountains. I crashed into one of them. Just my guess, but I'm thinking that no elevation data is in the data base for this area, since if I go to a different place, like in the US it works fine. I tried various places in Alaska and did not get elevation data. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
August 19, 20223 yr This dialog shown after installation might show the solution to your problem:😉 Install the offline elevation data since the online data is limited:https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.6/en/OPTIONS.html#cache-elevation Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
August 19, 20223 yr Author I had all the elevation data downloaded and installed, but I failed to "select directory". Once I did this everything is working fine. I have made 25 flight plans using Little Navmap on my trip around the world and all of them up until Cold Bay, Alaska, showed the elevation data. Don't know why it worked then and not now. Doesn't really matter. Everything is working fine now. Love your program. I fly low and slow so I can see the scenery, so I need to know how high the mountains are. Thanks for the help, Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
August 19, 20223 yr I see. Glad it's good now. The elevation data has some regions where data is missing. There is only coverage between 60°N and 60°S and some countries like New Zealand are completely missing. So it's easy to miss the "holes" in the data. I already plan to add better sources since the GLOBE data has a lower resolution. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
