Fenix settings - Flight Mode ?

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

I’ve searched high and low for this (here and elsewhere), but nowhere can I find an explanation for what the “Flight Mode” setting within the Fenix EFB is for.

Any ideas?

It simulates the device being set to flight mode, like a smartphone, so the device doesn't have an interfering connection. It's more or less a fun addition, to add some realism: it doesn't have a real purpose.

Ohhhhh!

Thanks so much tup61. For the life of me I couldn't figure that one out. They should have just called it "Airplane Mode" like every tablet/phone does.

OK I'll ignore it then. :)

Actually it's called flight mode on my phone...

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
