June 23, 200718 yr I went on a tour of Jackson National Life's aircraft hanger yesterday with my A&P class, they've got some pretty nice bizjets. G4, Hawker 800, and a brand new Hawker 850xp. Needless to say, I've decided I wouldn't mind flying any of them, especially the 850. Simply put, it's a nice jet. lolSince I don't have a job flying corporate (yet), I have to stick to FSX. Anyone know of an 850xp with Proline 21 avionics for FSX?
June 24, 200718 yr There's a nice FSX 850XP by Alejandro Rojas Lucena I think here in the library, plus a fix, too. I don't know what Proline 21 avionics are, and the external textures could be better (I'm awful at painting, but I'm thinking I'll try my hand at updating these), but the cockpit is beautiful. It flies great as far as I can tell.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry

June 26, 200718 yr Author As far as I'm aware...nothing Collins, other then the old 1st gen CRT-non LCD displays (ie, EMB120, SAAB 340, etc) have ever been touched. That's also probably pushing the limits of your monitor's real estate to say the least, not to mention the resources of your PC/sim. Most, if not all of these newer avionics systems can display charts, have FMC's, the aircraft entire enviro system, engine systems with tracking software, TCAS/EGPWS/TWAS, synth vision systems, etc., built in. The list goes on.Even the newer seperate CDUs now have graphical displays instead of the old green or color (lol). Color is now old.The good news, is that most of those manuals are now almost the entire AFM for an aircraft equiped with that type of avionics, and can easily be found in most cases. The funny thing is that these newer avionics sets are now finding there way--all the way down to the smallest of GA aircraft. The time is getting closer where we're going to need widescreen support, me thinks, at the very least. I also see the day rapidly approaching where we all just buy turn key--plug and play flight decks. Jeff D.
