PMDG 777 vs. QW 787

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I recently compared the two aircraft, and found the QW787 Enroute Map most useful inknowing where I am onlong flights.

Questions:

(1) Is there really such a display on the real 787? Is there one on the 777?

(2) Is there a way that I can such a disply on the PMDG 777?

Thank.s.

The EFB en-route is a simulator thing, not present in most real life settings (I guess there are exceptions when it come to airline EFBs). The PMDG 777 doesn't have an en-route map, only an airport map.

Hi Jean-Pierre

I have owned Flight1‘s GTN750 for many years already and installed it in more and more GA planes, even if there is no virtual cockpit integration. This turned out to be very useful because of the enroute map as well as the airport maps for taxying. I ended up by even install the GTN750 into airliners like the A320 and the B787, where I only use those map functions. If you own either F1‘s or RXP‘s GTN750, you can use this (of course unrealistic) feature in any aircraft.

Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like an expensive alternative, in fact one which I can't afford.
