September 17, 20223 yr I am trying to figure out how to use the drone cam as a spotter camera. So far I managed only that it follows the aircraft correctly when I lock it to the center of the aircraft but don't use a close up view. How can I setup the camera that it centeres on the gears or the forward fuselage section and keeps following the aircraft from that point? Often I configure it that way that the camera is set to the cockpit while rotating the camera is not keeping up with the speed of the aircraft and no following the configured point anymore. Any tips? I hope you get what I mean, it's rather difficult to explain. I have seen that this is possible, but don't know how.
September 17, 20223 yr You can freely position the drone wherever you like. The easiest way to do this is to have a controller (Xbox) connected to your PC. Then you can set the drone to be controlled by the controller, and fly the drone to whatever position you want. You can even freely explore with the drone while your plane flies overhead on autopilot. I often use the drone to explore cities along the route. My flight is at FL340, and I drop down to 500 ft AGL and go exploring.
