Range rings for all VOR's?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to display the range rings for ALL VOR's, not just the ones in the flightplan?

I would like to fly old school using VOR's only and when planning a flight, it would be helpful to know what is out of range so I can select another VOR.

Thanks

You can limit the navaid search to VOR, select "Show all" and "Add range rings" in the context menu.

Thanks Alex,

I selected all VOR's in the search box, selected show all but cant get the add range rings to display all of them.

Is the search box where I select show all?

Context menu. Right click into the result table. But never mind. I just checked in 2.8 beta an it only creates a range ring for the first VOR. Might be a bit too much to create 4800 VOR range rings anyway. This would slow down the map to a crawl.

But you can select all flight plan legs and select "Add Navaid Range Ring" which will show ranges for all VOR and NDB in the plan.

Makes sense, thanks for checking on this.

Flight planning really is half the fun.

Thanks again.
