Only Simulator Connecting

Featured Replies

Hi @Dave-Pilot2ATC! I tried looking through the other posts and didn't really see any others talking about the issue I'm having. Out of nowhere only the Simulator (MSFS) will connect, recognition and grammar have stopped working and my plane won't appear or track on the map, though when I click "center on aircraft" it still moves to where it is in that moment. Also, when im in the pilot seat, it still recognizes when the plane is on or off but won't recognize and frequencies and when I try to set frequencies manually inside the plane it won't let me activate anything. I think this started after the recent Windows update, though not 100% positive. I've tried reinstalling both Pilot2ATC and FSUPIC but that hasn't fixed it. Any suggestions on a fix?

First, make sure you are able to build and display a flight plan.  If yes, then you would seem to not have a data issue.

Then, if you're not seeing your aircraft on the map, you are probably not fully connected.

When fully connected, the Connect button will turn green and there will be 3 aqua colored lines in the speech text window, with the last one saying "Grammars Loaded".  You will also see your aircraft on the map.
If not,

1.    Be sure you are connected to the internet. It must be a reliable connection.
2.    If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again.
3.    English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language
4.    Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows
5.    Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB.  Press the Save button.
6.    Try running the program in Administrator mode by right clicking on the Pilot2ATC.exe file and selecting “Run as Administrator” or, if you were running it as Admin, try starting it as a normal user instead
7.    If you have shortcuts or icons to the program, delete them first, then try running from the exe file .  You can recreate the shortcuts after it starts running again.
