October 20, 20223 yr Commercial Member Hello there, After a while without flying on my sim, I've reinstalled the latest version of MCE yesterday. I wanted to use it with the captainsim 757 III on P3Dv5, but it seems it's not recognising it as the captainsim at all. MCP values do not change as expected while the copilot acknowledges my orders. Any idea of what's happening? Maxime TOGA projects

Any idea of what's happening? Please post the {fltsim.X} sections found in aircraft.cfg for the new planes. The "sim=whatever_name_they_gave_it is critical in MCE being able to identify it as the 757 from Captain Sim Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
October 20, 20223 yr Author Commercial Member Hello Gerald, Well there's many depending on the flight model used (200 or 300 variants, PW or RR engine, engine rating... etc) I've crosschecked and all the liveries are using the correct air file provided by captainsim (they wouldn't even appear in P3D by experience if it was not the case anyways). As an example, here is the default CS 757-200 PW2037 entry, with which it didn't work properly: sim=cs757-200_PW2037w Maxime TOGA projects

Any SIm=string where string has "cs757" should be identified as the supported CS 757. Unfortunately, no provision was made for those that have "cs 757" with a space char in between. Will be adjusted in next update to cover all variants. QW 757 is also supported, therefore can't simply expect "757", as they are handled differently, even though they share speech commands. It's good you brought it up because small things like these can cause users going through the Demo to assume MCE doesn't support those planes. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
October 20, 20223 yr Author Commercial Member Hello again Gerald, I'm not sure I brought anything up actually, I think you misunderstood me. There is no space in the air file name: Quote sim=cs757-200_PW2037w Thus I'm not sure a wrong sim name is the reason of the issue. However I checked the dll folder and found only this dll for the cs 757: mccs75X.dll Is it also for the 757 III ? If so, what other reason could it be? There should be a "mccs75V3.dll" in \Prepar3D v5\MCE dlls\ folder otherwise no switches or dials will move for the new 757 planes.. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

That's really weird ! I reinstalled MCE yesterday right after downloading the latest version from your website. Could it be missing from your latest installer? Now that you're saying this, it seems the latest version of CS 767 does not seems to have a dll there either. All the other well known aircraft dll are there. Maxime TOGA projects
October 21, 20223 yr Author Commercial Member Hello there, I've tried a reinstall as an admin, still no mccs75V3.dll being installed. Any ideas? Maxime TOGA projects

Turns out, the automatically generated installer didn't include that specific file. Get this patch and you'll find it there http://www.multicrewxp.com/Latest-Beta.zip If the link isn't accessible, copy the line above and paste it to your browser. Thanks Maxime. October 21, 20223 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks a lot Gerald ! I don't need them right now, but I think some other dlls are missing too. I guess the CS 767 v2 has a specific dll as well and could't see it either. Edited October 21, 20223 yr by kmax59 Maxime TOGA projects

There is only one dll for the 767."mccs76X.dll" The 32 bit verion handles the plane in FSX The 64 Bit version handles the plane in P3D V4 or V5 The plane is also supported in MSFS. However, as everyone knows, most overhead panel switches are currently not functional. FO will handle MCP, flaps, gear, spoilers, brakes, external lights and a few other things though.
