Weather injectors and the "new" simulators...

Featured Replies

While I have to confess that I do see interesting features in both MFS 2020 and now XP12 in as far as weather modelling goes and the new approaches followed by both, I must also state that I somehow feel as being unfair to those who, for years, have given us the chance to get in FSX, P3D and even XP11, very good weather products to enhance our experience, that they will not be able to take full use of the core weather system on both platforms 😕 - I'm not sure this is the case with X-Plane 12 because it is still in early Beta.

I thought to myself that there's yet another flight simulator, Aerofly FS 4, whose developer stated wanted to create a better weather model ( as well as a custom ATC ) but didn't happen with the initial release of their new version 4.

What about if the software houses dedicated to weather injection applications could consider Aerofly FS as their alternative, together with Prepar3D which still makes good use of some of these products?

would surely invest in AEFS4 if they had a weather engine available at least for Real World Weather, even better if also for historical weather  and so on...

Just an idea I was willing to share 🙂
