October 26, 20223 yr Can you have X-Plane 11 and 12 on the same system? Will aircraft in X-plane 11 work in 12? Thanks in advance MT
October 26, 20223 yr You can have both 11 and 12 on the same system. Best to put them on separate drives if possible. Some aircraft will work, but might not work as it does in 11. Some will be updated and some will not. Older aircraft may not work at all.
October 26, 20223 yr XP11 and 12 on the same system--yes. As for acft--it depends. There have been some changes to the flight dynamics that affect acft performance...some XP11 acft work but exhibit performance anomalies, others don't load at all. There are a fair number of XP11 acft that have been updated to run in XP12 now, but with changes still being made to the engine, performance fideilty is still in a state of flux. I always keep a clean copy of XP and one copy with selected aircraft, scenery and plugins during betas, that way I can always try to reproduce bugs on a clean copy before submitting bug reports. You can just copy your XP folder to another location, you don't even need to use the installer. Edited October 28, 20223 yr by RedPxl
