Question 1 - I might have this wrong but I thought since SU10 for MSFS LNM has the ability to read encrypted marketplace addons?  I've done a scenery scan and all I got this message at the end

Question 2 - how do I enable the map view to ONLY show my add on airports?  It seems this functionality has changed a little and whilst I can show my add on airports, I can't disable none add on airports it seems?

Question 3 - the runway slider to show min/max doesn't appear to work.  I've set this at 7500 min, but on the map I can still see airports that are smaller in length?

Thanks

Do you have a link? I've not seen anything in the SDK so far.

Also depends how it is implemented and how much effort it is to implement.

Switch all off except airports. In principle, the functionality has not changed.

Only new airport options added. Also note tear-off menu. Click the dashed line and it turns into a window.

Uncheck "Add-on" and the add-on airports can be filtered like others.

The smaller ones are most likely add-ons. Uncheck "Add-on" to get rid of the smaller ones. Note that this field overrides all filters for add-on airports.

Still working on the manual ....

Hi.

I have the same problem as question 1! Both in beta 0 and beta 1.

I have not bought any scenery, I have fs2020 Premium Deluxe. The only things in Community folder is Mobiflight and Fsuipc7 files.

This is from my datasearch:

These are encrypted airports from the OneStore folder.

What you see is just a warning that the airports will not show up in LNM as in the sim.
Click it away and ignore the warning if you know what's going on (i.e. DRM protection).

Edit: Also in the FAQ: https://albar965.github.io/littlenavmap-faq.html#no-airport-msfs

Thanks for the replies, I figured out how to alter the view to only show add ons.

Re SU10 providing ability to read encrypted airports, I've just done some googling and it was announced in SU10 "aircraft" where no longer encrypted so maybe I got confused with airports

MSFS Premium and Deluxe aircraft will no longer be encrypted after SU 10 - MSFS Addons

However!  FSDT have released an update, GSX uses a Navdata API provided by Asobo which gives GSX the ability to read encrypted airports - I'm using that functionality right now.  This is an extract from the manual

The SU10 Navdata API Update
With the SU10 SDK, a new API has been added to Simconnect, allowing add-ons to obtain data on airports without having to open the airport .BGL file.
This will have profound effects on the way GSX works, since GSX will now work in full on encrypted airports bought on the MS Marketplace, with no need to obtain
an alternative BGL from the scenery developers anymore.

Can you use this API to enable addons so they show in LNM?

@sidfadc Thank you very much for the hints. After searching around I found this: https://microsoft.github.io/msfs-avionics-mirror/docs/interacting-with-msfs/querying-navdata/

Looks like I have to brush up m JavaScript skills.🙃

Limitation: Apparently there is no way to get aprons, taxiways or parking. Needs more research...

Hello,

I've been asked by a user to provide extra info about the SU10/12 Navdata API, which we use in GSX to read data from encrypted airports. It is not related to the Javascript/HTML instrument subsystem, it's part of Simconnect, under the "Facilities" section of the SDK docs:

https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Programming_Tools/SimConnect/API_Reference/Facilities/SimConnect_AddToFacilityDefinition.htm

So, it can be used with any language ( C++/C# usually ) that can call Simconnect, and it contains basically everything you might need to know about the airport layout: parking spots, taxiways and with SU12 jetway data as well. It doesn't contain any data about polygons (Aprons) and lines (EdgeLights).

The biggest issue I can think of, is that it works only when the simulator is running, that is it works in the context of an exiting opened Simconnect connection.

It can't be used "offline", for example to open a .BGL. If the simulator is running, you can query about any airport, not necessarily the one you are in, but this means in order to get data about the currently installed sceneries, users will need to run LNM together with the sim, connect to it, and run some option to create the database of the currently installed airports, so they can be used with the correct data.

Note that, since its calls work based on the specified ICAO, you will never know from which (or how many) .BGLs the data is coming from, and you'll get everything the simulator "sees" at any given time, including conflicts. If a user has a scenery conflict, possibly resulting in double parking spots/taxiways/jetways, etc, you'll get that as well, conflicts included, so it will be more the user responsibility to be sure he has no conflicts in the sim, because the API will get you exactly what the sim is using at any given airport, including the problems...

Other than that, it usually works fine, and provide data about encrypted airports.

@virtuali Thank you a lot for the information. This helps a lot👍 but ...

... unfortunately this adds a whole lot more complexity on top of the already complex scenery library mess in MSFS. I see a lot of issues with this approach in LNM. No idea if this is feasible with reasonable effort.
