November 8, 20223 yr Hi guys, This is something I haven't been able to find the answer to. How do I pre-select a hold speed? The aircraft is always yelling at me to set hold speeds. Example: Currently en route to KBOS, got the JFUND2 arrival loaded, and I've set up a hold at JFUND. I'd like to set speed 230 and FL200 for the hold - do I select this next to the JFUND waypoint? 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 8, 20223 yr https://youtu.be/NYlSICln1So?t=771 The speed itself is not selected in the HOLD sub-menu. You set it in the F-PLN display clicking the RSK next to the HOLD entry. By default Green dot speed is automatically selected. Very good material here too: Edited November 8, 20223 yr by jcomm Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I'll give it another try. And watch the videos. On the abovementioned KBOS approach I was unable to clear the FL200 alt restriction I put in, so decided to go into open descent mode. I did watch this one, and a few minutes into the video realized it's from the ToLiss in XP11. Lol. Not sure if the Fenix behaves differently though. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 9, 20223 yr Author Good news, I was able to put in a speed restriction for a waypoint in a STAR (I also programmed a holding pattern for same waypoint). The aircraft prioritized slowing down to meet that restriction even though it didn't meet the alt restriction (pilot error, started descent too late, didn't use speed brakes). Thanks @jcomm!
