November 23, 20223 yr Having trouble with handoff between Radar controller and Centre controller. Flying out of EGGD, Radar (Cardiff I think) hands off to Manchester Centre 118.77, repeated attempts to check in on correct frequency (co-pilot tuned) are responded to by Radar controller telling me to switch to centre. As if new frequency not picked up. Any ideas?
November 23, 20223 yr Commercial Member You don't mention what version of P2A you're using, but the latest public beta of 2.6.3.2 PB 8S5, addresses some radio tuning issues. If you are using an earlier version, please update and try again. If you still have issues, make sure that 118.77 shows as the active frequency in P2A. If it's not, and you're using XP12, then you may need to uncheck the option in XP12 to have X-Plane ATC set the radio frequencies. If using MSFS, you'll need to turn off all the ATC options in MSFS: Options -> Assistance->Piloting->AI Radio Communications (ATC) - OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Route & Waypoints - OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Taxi Ribbon = OFF Options -> Assistance->Navigation Aids->Landing Path - OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->ATC UI Panel Open at Start - OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->Show Message Log in ATC Menu- OFF Options -> Assistance->User Experience->ATC Voices - OFF Dave
November 23, 20223 yr Author Thanks Dave. I am on the latest public beta and 118.77 showing active in P2A. I am in MSFS so will go back and confirm all of the assistance options. Hopefully that will reveal something. Appreciate the swift response.
November 24, 20223 yr Author Hi Dave. Have checked my ATC / assistance options and they were all set as prescribed above. Maybe you could have a look sometime at the transition from Radar to Centre. Thanks.
November 25, 20223 yr Commercial Member I set up a flight from EGGD to EGJB and was handed off to Manchester Center without a hitch. I had the copilot changing frequencies and responding to the radio for me. If you could email me the log file for a flight where this happened, I might be able to figure out what's going on. P2A Log files are located in: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Logs where <UserName> is your PC user name. Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab. Dave
