Manual installation of repaints for MSFS

Recommended Posts

I use AIGAIM for all my MSFS repaints, but as we know, it takes a while for schedules / new repaints to be updated via AIGAIM.

Is it possible to manually install some of these liveries if the model is already installed in my

For example:
China Airlines A321neo joined the fleet in June 2022, but it's not yet updated in AIGAIM. Can I manually install this livery so that PSXT can show it?
China Airlines Airbus A321NEO – Juergen's paint hangar (juergenbaumbusch.de)

Thanks!

It is definitivly possible to do this, and I did it myself previously. You should by recommendations from AIG and the author of AIGM keep those files separate from the OCI-folder. With a little patience and with the correct tools, it is possibe also in MSFS as well but way more cumbersome than in P3D. The reason is the textures must be flipped, and the json file must be updated all the time in the corresponding folder of your "manual" install folder.

AIG has themself discussed this many times in their forums, which you should probably check out rather than here in the PSXT forums. Take a look at this thread:

As I said, I did this previously, but I really don't bother anymore, as AIG now has released a lot of updates recently. And for MSFS it's simply not worth the hazzle for me, when the genious AIGM does it in seconds. Hope this helps.
