It seems the button to show or hide missed approach legs on the map only takes effect after an approach has been actually inserted into the flight plan. However, it would be convenient if you could also hide the missed approach leg when deciding on which approach to select because some missed approach legs overlay the primary approach course making it a little difficult to see some details of the primary approach.

makes sense. The missed really mess up the preview for selected approaches at times. I'll see if I can change this for the next RC.
