January 6, 20233 yr Hi, I just tried the demo, and the speech recognition works fine, but there is no text in the speech window, also no 3 lines of text at startup, grammar help is checked in config page. power button is green, PTT is green, but say it is white Al the settings are per the manual, what am I missing?
January 6, 20233 yr Commercial Member You have to press the "?" button to enable the Speech Assistant. Also need to be on a valid frequency, like Clearance or Ground, that you can talk to. Dave
January 6, 20233 yr Commercial Member To the right of, and slightly below, the SayIt button. I just re-read your original post and if you aren't getting the 3 lines in aqua when you try to connect, you are not connecting. You don't get those lines at startup. Make sure you are connected fully to the SIM with the Yellow aircraft showing on the map and the Connect button turned green. Dave Edited January 6, 20233 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC
January 7, 20233 yr So I checked and I don't see the text because my window is not large enough to see it. I can resize the window but the text still is not visible. When I was using the trial version I could see the text at startup and later when I was using the program I could see all the text from ATC and pilot/copilot. Any ideas? I have tried using windows tools to make the window larger but no joy.
January 7, 20233 yr Commercial Member The window size is fully adjustable with left/right sliders. You can also use the "?+" button to open a separate window for SayIt Plus which is even more adjustable. Dave
January 7, 20233 yr Author Ok, so all settings in windows set to English/ US Speech recognition works. I can connect. Power button green, yellow airplane on the map, PTT button green when pressed, sayid button white when pressed. no text in the text window, non3 lines on startup tried reinstalling pilot to ATC, no joy. shut down firewall to try it this way, still no joy. so what next can I try?
January 7, 20233 yr Commercial Member Ebaw, Email a screenshot to [email protected], or post one here, of the full Pilot2ATC main screen after you are connected and set to Ground frequency for the airport you are at. Dave
January 7, 20233 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the screenshot. The reason you can't see the SayIt area is that you need to move the scroll bars to the left of SayIt to the left to fill the blank portion of the screen. This will make the Speech Text window and SayIt area visible. There are several scroll bars in the bottom section of the screen that allow you to adjust the display of these areas. Dave
