Error Message: wingspan unknown

Hi was hoping someone could help with this?

Green on Sim Connection : red on RT 

 

Error message says user aircraft wingspan unknown, max is taken instead, please report in my forum

The wingspan error message is not severe, it will assume a max wing span instead. This will make that other aircaft will collide sooner than it should be.

You were asked to report that in my Forum, you did that, however what user aircraft are you flying? Otherwise I cannot add that type or help you out...

RT red is something  else. You should give more info, post your Log.txt please.

Thankyou Kiek, the plane was a Grand caravan so nothing too exciting.

I am using FSLt traffic and this PSXT has utilised that also. 

Ive only noticed the error message recently depite using FSLt quite some time with PSXT

HI,

You're talking about a Grand caravan, but your Log.txt tells different: Spitfire....

Is your Log.txt probably not the correct one?

Furthermore I see a lot of rubbish in your parameters file:

Delete these two, they are only needed if running networked.

LIVERIES_FOLDER=liveries
ADDON_AIRPORTS_FOLDER=addon_airports

Delete lfolder1 up to lfolder9 (are all dupicates). Keep lfolder0 if you really have AIG installed, or better enable auto scan liveries and enable auto scan airports. If you have FSLTL and you want manual scan you should add lfolder1 pointing to FSLTL.

Delete afolder0 up to afolder9, theya re all the same and nit pointing to a folder with add on airports ...

 

Back to teh wingspan problem, your Spitfier does not conform to the MSFS standard.

the atc_model in the aircrfat.cfg file should read  TT:ATCCOM.AC_MODEL SPITFIRE_SPIT.0.text

So change that.

I only have FSLTL, dont use AIG any longer.

where do I delete from, sorry, file management is not my thing?

Open C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\PSXT_MSFS\parameters.xml

Follow Nico's instructions above and delete the lines indicated.

For the aircraft.cfg find the directory containing the Spitfire and open aircraft.cfg in a text editor and correct the atc_model= to:  atc_model="TT:ATCCOM.AC_MODEL SPITFIRE_SPIT.0.text"
