F-18 Hornet HUD & MFD's corrupted data

Featured Replies

After installing addon liveries, and Maverick Top Gun installation my F-18 hornet HUD is corrupted and unmanageable. I have removed and reinstalled files and cannot eliminate this issue.  Would appreciate any advice as how to clean this issue up.

Thank You,

Maybe an idea to go to the Content Creator and uninstall the F18 and re-install it?

Thank you very much for your input.  Uninstalling the file was much more difficult than I could have imagine,  do to the fact that the content manager package application had the Asobo f/a 18 installed but would not list a delete option for the file.  I then went into the MSFS 2020 official/ onestore/ simobjects/airplane folder and removed the file.  Restarted MSFS 2020 and the startup program immediately went into a program update. Simulator then opened with the f-18 loaded for flight. I initiated a flight with a KTNU departure.  The cockpit view continued to show a cluttered HUD and MFD's.  Cannot figure where this issue is coming from.  Did I do it wrong or do you have any other suggestions?  Crazy thing is, I could do without the aircraft, but dam! The problem is driving me crazy.

HELP!

You said that you added some liveries. Did you remove all of them?

Some of the add-ons for the F/A 18 are intended only for SuperWarrior or other mods.

Yes, I had other addons liveries installed.  The original F/A 18 base file was added doing one of the regular updates and was a Asobo aircraft. I had flown it some and the HUD and MFD's were lean in functionality, but still a useful peripheral. The issue occured after the Maverick Mission files were added. It made flying the aircraft with any kind of accuracy, about impossible.  I originally deleted everything related to a F/A 18, and as updates occured I only have the base package and Maverick Missions Package installed in the MSFS 2020/OFFICIAL/ONESTORE files. There are no F/A 18 files in the community folder. The Content Manager listings still show all files ever loaded through updates or outside addons. They are listed uninstalled.  If the only way to correct this issue would be to uninstall MSFS 2020 and reload, I will live with the problem.

Again, Thank You and I'm still opened for suggestions
