January 10, 20233 yr Hello, I have recently got the Reverb G2 for MSFS however I can’t figure out how to turn off the Reverb Controller vibration. I am using Lock Mode for Interaction. When the Raycast (Laser Pointer) is pointing at a clickable knob then the controller vibrates which can be quite annoying. There seems to be a way to disable the controller vibration using Steam VR but I only use Windows Mixed Reality not Steam VR as I am using OpenXR. Any help with turning this haptic feedback off will be appreciated, thanks!
January 20, 20233 yr There's a setting in SteamVR if you're using the WMR bridge that will turn it off, but I don't think that will impact a WMR-only setup. I'm not sure there's actually a way to do it outside of the SteamVR platform. That's one of the reasons I use a mouse to click cockpit stuff (the other being that it's annoying to whack the hand controllers into my flight controllers). December 29, 20241 yr @Divij did you find a way to disable haptics? X-Plane 12 (VR only) - HP Reverb G2 - i5 13600k - ASUS TUF RTX 4090 24GB - ASUS TUF Z790-Plus - Corsair Hydro H115i - Corsair 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 4000 (PC4-32000) C18 1.35V - Samsung 860 EVO SSD 500GB - Windows 11 Pro
December 30, 20241 yr @Divij well I figured something out for x-plane, I don’t have MSFS. But something similar might exist for it. I edited file "X-Plane 12\Resources\vr\interaction_profiles\reverb_g2_controller.json" by deleting this section. Notice there are two instances of this inside the file, one for each controller right/left. { "path": "output/haptic", "type": "haptic" } X-Plane 12 (VR only) - HP Reverb G2 - i5 13600k - ASUS TUF RTX 4090 24GB - ASUS TUF Z790-Plus - Corsair Hydro H115i - Corsair 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 4000 (PC4-32000) C18 1.35V - Samsung 860 EVO SSD 500GB - Windows 11 Pro
