Misplaced taxiways

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm new to Pilot2atc but am enjoying learning how to use it. Really wish I'd bought it earlier! One thing I've noticed is that that taxiways at some airports, Liverpool EGGP for example, don't align with the location in game. Is there a way to select and move all the taxiway and runway points? With Liverpool I've noticed that because I don't reach the hold short point for runways 27 I am unable to gain takeoff clearance and permission to enter the runway.

Is there any way to select all the points and move them to realign the runways and taxiways? I've tried using MakeRunways but it doesn't copy across the taxiways, possibly because I'm using the Liverpool addon scenery.

After you run MakeRunways, you have to use Taxi Mnt in Pilot2ATC in order to bring the new data into Pilot2ATC.

You can import single airports or All Airports at once, which takes quite a bit of time, depending on your PC.

You can also use Taxi Mnt to make manual adjustments.

Details are in the Pilot2ATC Operations manual in the Documentation folder.

Thanks Dave. I'd followed the guidance in the manual but MakeRunways doesn't generate any taxiways. I can only get it to generate the runway and gates.

After you ran Make Runways, what did you do?

  1. Run MakeRunways according to the MakeRunways instructions.
  2. After that finishes, find the folder that contains the t5.csv, r5.csv, g5.csv and runways.xml files
  3. Start P2A and open TaxiMnt and select the Import Scenery tab
  4. Enter the folder containing the files listed in #2 in the top Source folder block and check the button to the left of the folder for P3D/MSFS Folder with MakeRunway Files
  5. Check all the option boxes to the right of the Purple area except the bottom one if you don't want non-AIRAC airports
  6. Click on Import Taxiways from All Airports (Green button)
  7. Wait for the 5-10 minutes for it to finish and a popup dialog saying it is done. It will hit 100% for Runways first, then do the Taxiways
  8. Click on the Purple Import Gates from All Airports
  9. Wait for 5-10 minutes for it to finish and a popup dialog saying it’s finished.
  10. Close Taxi Mnt
  11. Shut down P2A
  12. Restart P2A

Followed to the letter and still no joy. Checked other stock and addon airports I own (EIDW, EGNT, AND EGMN) and they're all fine. Also uninstalled the Liverpool airport scenery and tried that with no luck.

Thanks Dave. I'll stick with the default taxiways and edit their locations. Thank you for your help.

I've worked out what was going on. There was some conflict between the Digital Dimensions EGGP scenery and the Microsoft EGGP contained in the UK scenery package. Deleting the latter has solved the problem of the misplaced taxiways. I noticed that there were duplicate lights in the scenery and after some investigation it turn out this happens when both scenery packages are installed. Deleting the Microsoft scenery solved both problems.
