Hapticonnect and buttkicker issue..

Featured Replies

Have this strange issue, where sometimes buttkicker stops working in middle of flight for no apparent reason, then I have to alt tab into Windows turn off my buttkicker and back on again then go into Hapticonnect software and push test to get it going again...

Its so annoying because it instantly kills immersion, the plane just suddenly feels like a Glider, always look at my instrument to check if engine still running, because it feels like the engine just stopped, but its not..  Ive really gotten attached to this amazing hardware, but the issue is killing it for me, and I cant fly without it anymore..

It does not always happen, but maybe in 2 of 4 flights..

Anyone had this issue, and knows howto solve?

I believe the unit will shut itself down if its too loud etc.  Start with tweaking those.  Thats my guess.

Hmm, its a buttkicker gamer plus. But im not really pushing it, i think. Only use 32 power setting on the device, and havent maxed any settings in software. Just some effect a little bit stronger than default. If I tune down I might aswell not use it because then I cant feel the effects...

Maybe I should have bought the pro instead:(

And actually, last night I turned my power down too 26 to not wake up my wife and and the effects was very subtle, but it still disconnected...

Maybe overheating ?  The light on the front should always be green too.  Check for software updates also - they just added MSFS like 2 months ago.   I do not think there automatic.

It never clips, always green.. No updates on software, have the latest.

But I got a tip from another thread that could maybe solve it. Turns out I had power saving enabled in my USB ports which will make them sleep, I now turned them off. I higly suspect that was my issue, makes sense...

I will report back when I get the time to test the sim

So far so good, think the turning off power saving helped. So I guess I can say its solved,,, for now.

Glad you got it sorted - yeah sleeping makes sense
