With VR, you need the most power that money can buy:p. Im looking to upgrade my 3080ti to 5090 paired with the latest intel chip:). Going to cost me 7000$, my wife gonna kill me if she finds out, lol.

I switched to MSFS 2024 in November 2024, been very stable for me… Now in january even better…

I disagree, in Xplane the ground feels like the surface is ICE, and so did 2020. In 2024 it feels like the wheels grip to the ground more realisticly, making the plane flip over much more realisticly. It something that annoyed me for a long time that it was impossible to actually flip over when turning like an word not allowed just to try and crash. Never felt realistic to me… But what do I know, im just a computer pilot….

Not sure how you can see my specs:p, but i have RTX 3080ti 12 gb VRAM and 12th gen intel. May I ask how you turned off raytracing? Its grayed out in my settings and I cant turn it off..

Yeah, totally agree!! It almost turned me into certain negative people on this forum, had bad performance, blurry ground textures and was on the verge to ditch 2024 and go on rampant rage campain in the forums, swearing and cursing Asobo. Luckily I just tried turning it off and voila, sim was fixed, lol… Think it could have saved them a few bad reviews by not having it on by default:p

The A2A commanche flies exactly the same as 2020, and the ground handling doesnt seem to be implemented in it, dunno about Fenix because I dont own it. The commanche uses an external flightmodel(i think) so probably why nothing has changed.. Still great though and pretty much all I fly is commanche because of its excellent VR turbulence function that doesnt get me sick(wish all planes had done the same). A2A will be all I fly for the unforseen future.

Make sure you turn off that Dynamic thingy, and then tune from there, maybe that is the reason. That thing gave me headaches for a few days trying to figure out what the h… was going on, until I finally had sense to turn it off and then tune my settings. Not saying this is your issue, but it could be…

THIS!!! I completly agree. I have xplane, dcs, MSFS and IL2 and they feel almost the same, with subtle differences, and they all feel equally realistic from a simmer perspective, their just different. But too me MSFS feels most realistic not because of FDM but because what I see out of the cockpit window resembles what I see as a passenger in real planes… Thats the reason I dont fly Xplane and its plausible world. I would ditch DCS too if Microsoft made a combat sim with its engine.

Your memory doesnt serve you well, because this is how it has been atleast since I registered here in 2010, lol. Used to be FSX vs Xplane, then FSX vs MS Flight, think there been FSX vs P3D, and probably was fs9 vs FSX bedore my time:p Also the P3D EULA drama comes to mind…

Yeah, but it went from ‘mostly negative’ to now being ‘mixed’, so the reviews definitively improved, otherwise it would still be stuck at ‘mostly negative’….

And most of the negative critic was from the first 2 days because everyone was stuck at the loading screen, after servers got fixed the revievs started to improve. So the negative reviews doesnt really reflect the current situation… It was a bad launch…

Then serious simming sounds really boring, I’ll stick with gaming then, thank you. Hope I never get serious and crazy enough to go back too plausible worlds and blade element theory’s, I will rather stick with CFD and realistic looking worlds:)

So we that use 2024 are just gaming and people using 2020 are seriously simming, guess I prefer gaming then:)

I gained 1 terrabyte of space wich I now can use for DCS addons… Only left a stripped down 2020 without any WU’s and addons, just because im unsure howto remove the last bit:p

One positive thing about all these circlejerking threads is that its good for farming ‘likes’. :p. And in a way a little bit entertaining, kept me busy for days lol. More drama than the best soap operas out there:D

So you guys never land or takeoff? You just magicly spawn at FL340 and stay there? Because I would imagine landing/takeoff will let you see the broccoli in all its glory,,, and what about the lightning improvement, you dont see that in the tube? Or what about before you go above the clouds, you dont notice the huge improvement there? Can you post a picture with the weird white line, just curious, never seen it in 2024…

And how do you know its not flyable, yesteday almost 6000 people was flying it on steam… Stability is just as good as 2020. Maybe you try it before forming opinions dragged from thin air… All these threads start to get kinda ridicilous, almost like a competition on who comes up with the most negative stuff,,,,

Strange things,,, before the release many complained that Asobo was making a career mode and gameified the sim. Now after release the complaints are about all the bugs in career mode that nobody wanted… Simmers are really a though crowd that is almost imposible to please. Feel sorry for the people developing for us..

Another question, is the AI traffic airliners only or does it have small GA traffic too?

I would be very intrested in that equation:). Im on the fence wether to try it, still waiting for VFR before jumping in though.
