2024 - No Public Beta's, No Expectation of a Turnaround...

Featured Replies

Reading through the comments concerning the last hotfix it's apparent that until Asobo starts releasing public betas where the community sends feedback before official patch release, we can't expect a serious turnaround with 2024.  There's no way an ambitions sim like 2024's issues can be resolved unless the consumer market (this community) has a hand in testing and QA.  Too many customer internet speeds (buffer bloat in some cases), too many platforms the sim has to run on, and too many singular OS setups.  2020 turned around significantly with beta testing and feedback from this community.  Yes, I know all who bought 2024 are glorified beta testers anyway but that's very different from the methodical problem solving we saw with 2020. I thought the new year would bring news of an open beta call for the next major service pack but that hasn't happened.  Correct me if I'm wrong or missed some news somewhere but throwing out random hotfixes and untested updates isn't accomplishing anything of meaningful note (fix one thing break another thanks to lack of testing).😐

Maybe they feel their new in-house beta team is enough now...🤔🫣😶

You needed to start a new thread for this pearl of wisdom?

There is absolutely no need to have a public beta for a hotfix!

You need testing for everything at this point...😑

I agree with you. However if they started a public beta for SU1, then it would be an admission of having released a faulty incomplete product.

Public betas, if any, will come later in its development and for specific additions in my opinion.

I'm just glad that a Megacorp decided to risk and throw a few hundred million down so we could get our jollies. I've got no issues with a few bumps along the way.

Experiencing what I'm experiencing....

I have full confidence in Asobo/Microsoft

So it's January 11, one hotfix was released for a *specific* issue, and conclusion by some is that full service packs might or never be released, and that open betas won't happen for these service releases even if they happen?

I mean, what sort of genius leaps in thinking does one have to employ to come up with such conclusions? 🤣

Never mind the fact that Asobo has already stated that full service releases like during 2020 are coming, i.e. SU1 is next. Why let facts and actual stated intentions by Asobo get in the way when you can just cosplay MSFS project lead to your heart's content without having a clue 🤣

They are doing a public open beta for SU1. Jorg said it in the Twitch Q&A. You can search for it if you want.
