February 1, 20233 yr Not sure if anyone else has seen this but for a long time now, when I fly the Garmin version of the stock 172, the sim keeps adjusting the mixture on it's own. I have all assistance options off but as I climb and slowly lean the mixture manually, it keeps making additional changes. Wondering if anyone has a permanent fix for that, or if the steam gauge version of the stock 172 does it too. I grabbed the Reims Rocket mod recently from flightsim.to and it doesn't have the same issue even though it's based off the stock 172. The stock 172 is the only plane I've ever seen this with. I've checked my control mapping for duplicate bindings for mixture so that's not the problem. Strange. February 1, 20233 yr You probably have one of more of the "assistance" options switched on. I don't know wether there is an automixure option but others might also mess with engine settings. While they might be helpfull if you know what they do these options can be very confusing if you don't. February 1, 20233 yr Author It's not assistance options (I never use any of them). Not a duplicate control binding either. That's why I'm having trouble figuring it out. Not using the assistance option isn't a guarantee for them to stay off. Some people have reported issues with assistance options turning on automagically after one of the last updates, so it's always good to double-check. You said in your first post, all assistance options are off so this is more of a general comment, not really directed at your issue. In any case, I would try turning the assistance on and off again. Although I wouldn't get my hopes up, it's worth to give it a try. Edit: Have you checked other aircraft whether they're affected by the same issue? Might help narrow down the problem. February 1, 20233 yr Author Actually I did try the on-again off-again trick a few weeks ago and that didn't help. It's the only aircraft (default/freeware/payware) that does that. Possibly a minor bug with the cfg file or something. Not worth monkeying around with any more I think, just thought someone might have had the same issue. Thankfully there are many other good options for GA & VFR flying.
