Flickering now

Featured Replies

I was just upgraded to the latest version of MSFS. I am now getting flickering on my instrument panel in the TBM 930 and the Longitude, and on trees. Did the upgrade change my graphic settings to default settings?

Hardware: i7-8700k, GTX 1070-ti, 32GB ram, NVMe/SSD drives with lots of free space.
Software: latest Windows 10 Pro, P3Dv4.5+, FSX Steam, and lots of addons (100+ mostly Orbx stuff).

Whenever MSFS has an update it seems to ignore all my settings in my GPU driver. I always need to change the graphics settings in the game to ultra or any preset and apply it and then set everything back to how I want it and apply it then shut down the sim and go to my GPU driver settings and update or delete my profile that launches with the sim. I then need to apply the driver settings again to the MSFS .exe. It's why I keep screen shots of all my sim and driver settings so I don't need to tweek and mess about again.

I think this happens because the MSFS .exe may get updated and the driver doesn't correctly recognise that it has launched or something along those lines. That's my theory anyway. Perhaps someone that knows better has a better theory.

Anyway, not sure if it is your problem or not but it's always mine.

Good to know, thank you. I've had prior updates without issues, but this update resulted in flickering.
