I'm not a network expert. Just one technical point: all AAO assets are generally using HTML5. Make sure that the browser on your device understands that (for example old-er iPads don't support this tech and only show a black screen) AAO uses absolutely basic standard web server technology. Nothing fancy, nothing that needs to be set up in any special way. What you have to figure out on your end is how to make your phone/tablet/external IP device talk to the PC. There are as many options for this to go wrong as there are PCs, routers, firewalls and whatnot out there. Impossible to know them all or give generic advice, again sorry. If the VPN software changed settings that now block external devices (for example by messing with the firewall), then you have to undo that. Somehow. Edited June 3, 20242 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
June 3, 20242 yr Appreciate the answer. Im pretty sure the problem is as you said, connection of external device to the PC. Anyway, I have tried to allow both ways on TCP port on Defender Firewall, antivirus and also router. Probably will try to reset everything and start over again. Im not a pro, but I can follow the manual, if there is another magic to do, Im stuck 😄 Thanks for trying to help, appreciated 🙂
June 3, 20242 yr Okay found it I think... The update caused some kind of different installation directory. Hence the web api couldn't find the files. Somewhat strange this is different one from the previous installation. But it seems to be working now but only on pc. The tablet still can't find the files it seems (time out). When I copied all the FMC files to the new directory the PC immediately responded correctly. Not so on tablet 😞 OLD dir was: c:\Users\<username>\Documents\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files\WebPages\pmdg737fmc\ NEW dir seems to be: c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\LORBY_SI\LorbyAxisAndOhsMSFS\LorbyAxisAndOhs Files\WebPages\pmdg737fmc\ What is correct? And how can I refer the web api to the 'new' directory I wonder on tablet? Yeahhh, works now too on tablet. Needed refresh from sim and tablet. Friggin' caches always play up.... 😉 Edited June 3, 20242 yr by sandman_761

What happend here is that AAO was (is) not allowed to write to your \Documents folder. That is why it defaulted to the config directory where it normally stores the config files, database etc.. The most common reason for this issue is placing your \Documents folder in your OneDrive. When you do that, AAO cannot read from or write to it. Edited June 3, 20242 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
